About us
A small team that got tired of the same rescue job.
For years the call was always the same. A charity, a dentist, a two-person studio: the site was slow, the theme was abandoned, and the only person who understood it had moved to Lisbon. We got very good at fixing that. Then we decided to put ourselves out of that particular job.
What we built
Wellcrafted Sites is a website builder that starts with a draft instead of a blank page. You describe the organization; an AI agent does what it's genuinely good at β pulling a structure together, writing the pages, laying out a first version in minutes instead of two weeks. Then you talk to it: cut that paragraph, move that section, use the photo I uploaded. It edits a real Astro codebase while you watch, and every change is a version you can go back to. The features page lists the lot.
When it's right, you press publish and we host it. There's no WordPress underneath, no theme, no plugin list, and no separate hosting account. If something needs changing next spring, you open the editor and ask for it.
What we believe
A website is not a hobby
You have a clinic to run, a congregation to feed, orders to ship. The site should hold still and do its job.
Fast is a feature
Every page we ship is plain HTML and CSS. It loads on a bad phone signal in a parking lot, which is where half your visitors are.
AI drafts, you decide
The machine is very good at a first version. It has no idea your Tuesday clinic moved. Nothing goes live until you say it can.
Who it's for
Small organizations: nonprofits, clinics, trades, studios, local shops, church halls, one-person consultancies. Teams of two to twenty who need five to fifteen good pages and no ongoing homework.
What it doesn't do
It won't build you an online shop with a thousand products, member logins, or a booking system that talks to your practice software. If that's what you need, we'd rather say so now and point you somewhere better than take your $20 and let you find out in week three.
βThe best outcome is that you stop thinking about your website entirely.β
Where we are
We're remote, and support runs over email. You'll get an answer from someone who works on the product, usually the same day.
